Licences & Subscriptions UDIAG
Extend the capabilities of your diagnostic tool with our professional software licences. SGW access, annual updates and specialist modules for demanding garages.
What is an SGW licence and why do you need one?
Some vehicle manufacturers protect their ECUs with a Security Gateway (SGW). Without an active SGW licence, the diagnostic tool can read fault codes but cannot write data, code, program or perform active functions on these vehicles.
The brands concerned are : FCA (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, Maserati), Mercedes-Benz and Renault / Dacia. If your workshop works with these brands, the corresponding SGW licence is indispensable.

Frequently asked questions about UDIAG licences and subscriptions
-
The SGW (Security Gateway) is a security module introduced by certain manufacturers to protect their vehicles' ECUs against unauthorised access. It blocks any writing or active command to the ECUs without prior identification. In practical terms: without an SGW licence, you can read fault codes but you cannot code, program or reset the ECUs concerned. The UDIAG SGW licence bypasses this restriction legally via the manufacturer's official protocol.
-
Yes. The licence SGW FCA explicitly covers Maserati, as well as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, Chrysler and Dodge. All these vehicles share the same SGW FCA architecture since their integration into the Stellantis group. A single licence is sufficient for all these brands.
-
Unlike the FCA and Mercedes SGWs (valid for 1 year with no access limit), the Renault SGW operates on a credit consumption. Each SGW connection to a Renault vehicle consumes one credit. The 10-access pack is suitable for garages that deal with recent Renault vehicles on an occasional basis; the 20-access pack is more economical on a per-access basis and is suitable for garages with higher volumes.

After purchase, you will receive a activation code. From your tool: access the Personal Centre → Device → Activate, Enter the code and confirm. Activation is immediate; the tool must be connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi). If you have any problems, our French-speaking technical support team is available at technique@udiag.eu.

Your tool will continue to function normally with the current software version. You retain access to all the functions and vehicles you have already downloaded. Only the new updates (new vehicles, new functions, corrections) are blocked until renewal. There is no degradation of existing functionality.
-
No. The equipment kit SuperADAS-A (3-in-1 radar tool) and SuperADAS-B (complete camera + radar kit) are sold separately from the SuperADAS software licence. To use this equipment, your X-95 PRO must have the ADAS software activated - either via a SuperADAS licence purchased separately, or if this function was already included in your configuration. Contact us to check your situation.
Automotive diagnostics software licences: everything you need to know
The software licences and subscriptions have become indispensable in modern automotive diagnostics. With the introduction of Security Gateways (SGW) by FCA/Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz and Renault, diagnostic tools must authenticate themselves to the vehicle before they can perform any writing, coding or calibration operations.
At UDIAG Europe, We offer a full range of SGW licences compatible with the X-95 PRO and the X-60 FCA annual licence (including Maserati), Mercedes-Benz annual licence, and Renault SGW credits (10 or 20 accesses). These licences are activated directly on your tool via Wi-Fi, without any complex computer operations.
The annual update subscriptions ensure that your tool stays up to date with the new electronic architectures of vehicles released during the year. Every car manufacturer releases new models and electronic revisions on a regular basis - without updates, your tool can lose coverage on the latest vehicles.
Finally, the SuperADAS licence opens up ADAS calibration functions on the X-95 PRO, enabling garages to offer high added-value services: recalibration of cameras, ACC radars and lane-change assistants - operations that are systematically required after windscreen replacement or bodywork repairs.
